The Association of Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) in Ohio is a statewide organization that works to enhance the lives of older adults and individuals with disabilities. It serves as a collective voice for 12 regional AAAs throughout the state. The AAAs are nonprofit organizations that provide a range of services and supports to help older adults age with dignity and independence in their communities.
The Ohio AAA promotes collaboration among its member agencies, advocating for policies and funding that address the needs of older adults. They work closely with state and local governments, community organizations, and service providers to develop and implement programs that support seniors' well-being.
The AAA's services include information and referral, case management, home-delivered meals, transportation assistance, caregiver support, health promotion, and long-term care options counseling. These services are designed to meet the unique needs of older adults, helping them remain living in their own homes for as long as possible.
In addition to service provision, the Ohio AAA plays a key role in educating and raising awareness about issues affecting older adults. They provide training and resources to professionals and caregivers, conduct research, and engage in public outreach activities to promote healthy aging and improve the quality of life for seniors across the state.
The Association of Area Agencies on Aging in Ohio is dedicated to ensuring that older adults have access to the supports and services they need to age successfully and maintain their independence within their communities.
